It was a real pleasure to spend time with such polite, enthusiastic pupils over the weekend in Llangrannog - they were all excellent!

Every effort was made to keep the school open on Wednesday 12th February, despite the fact that we had no electricity in the afternoon, which also meant that we couldn't access the internet (for messages) and the telephone. We were however able to post a message on twitter to explain that we were open as normal.

Tuesday 26th November: following on from an excellent evening earlier in the term, Mrs Llinos Jones is back in school next Tuesday to discuss numeracy, mathematics & NUMICON with parents.

Congratulations to the pupils below on their success in the Urdd Swimming 
gala (12-11-13). Siwan & Isabel came 1st,
Mati & Ioan 2nd and Millie & Thomas 4th.



The school will be undertaking activities between 18 - 22 November to support national anti-bullying week. This is an annual event which aims to raise awareness of bullying of children and young people, and to highlight ways of preventing and responding to it. Activities will include, special assemblies, homework, projects, circle-time activities & more.
Urdd Rugby: Congratulations to the boys on going through to the next round after winning the tournament in Llangadog (15-11-13).

Urdd Netball: Well done to the girls on competing so well in the Towy Valley competition at Llandovery College (5-11-13).
The 'Yellow' team went through to the next round.



A Year 4 pupil has had a very successful cycling year -  on both the road and track circuits. She won races in Blackpool, Isle of Man and other venues.

She travelled across Britain competing in the British League, coming 3rd and 1st in the girls' category.
The warmest of congratulations to Awen!



Another excellent visit to Pendine - every child has enjoyed, and they've all shown fantastic attitude and behaviour - it's a real pleasure to be in their company! 
My sincerest thanks to Mrs Pugh a Mrs Crayford for giving of their own time to be with our pupils.

We received a visit last year from officials of the Welsh Government seeking the views of our older pupils on school attendance and behaviour. As a result of this visit, their work  - as well as the views of 18 other schools/organisations across the whole of Wales - will be heard  in a special meeting of the National Assembly on 13/11/13.
